About Us
My friends and family say that I am obsessed with cleanliness and tidiness. I prefer to think that I am a perfectionist at heart. Having worn prescription spectacles since childhood, I found it really frustrating that none of the cloths I bought were particularly good and removing the greasy smears that regularly appeared on my glasses. You could buy chemical liquids to apply to lenses but I didn’t like using chemicals and wanted a natural, chemical free solution.
This led me on a very long journey to perfect the most effective lens cleaning cloths.
Fast forward a number of years and the spectacles cloths I developed proved exceptionally popular to fellow glasses owners having sold hundreds of thousands across Europe. The customer feedback my microfibre cloths received on websites such as Amazon was amazing and really proved to me that there were thousands of other people who were unsatisfied with the quality of glasses cloths available on the high street.
My continual search for perfection then moved onto the electronics arena. All the TVs, iPads and smartphones in my home used to be completely covered in finger marks. My children were very young at the time and seemed to be fascinated with the big black screen stuck on the wall. Having previously tried a huge combination of cloths on these devices, I found that many would make more mess than was there in the first place.
There were a number of chemical cleaning solutions available on the market. Contrary to popular belief though, some chemicals can be very harmful to electronics screens and whilst they may clean them immediately after first use, they will damage the delicate surface of the screens over time.
Once again, I sought a more natural solution to this problem. The cloths needed to be ultra-absorbent so the thousands of tiny microfibres could collect the grease and microscopic particles of dust and dirt. But they also needed to be exceptionally soft and they had to retain the level of softness even after repeated use and washing.
After many months of fine tuning and testing the polyester and polyamide composition along with density of the cloths, I introduced the new range of Charles Parker TV and small electronics cloths. Our customers were blown away by their exceptional performance and with the ease that they could wipe away smudges and greasy marks with such little effort. Many customers told me that now that they had the perfect solution to their problem, they kept a dedicated Charles Parker cloth for every electronics device in their home.
I noticed that there were many photographic enthusiasts using our cloths to clean their precious camera lenses and the rest, as they say is history.
So what now for the future of Charles Parker Cloths? The range of uses for microfibre is continually growing and every month brings new innovations and new applications for this amazing fabric. Rest assured that we will continue to grow the Charles Parker catalogue of products and develop the most efficient and natural solutions to all your cleaning dilemmas.
With very best wishes
